SCADA systems, also known as supervisory systems, are software-based systems that have the functions of supervising and controlling equipment for a given application. The SCADA stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition.
REIVAX proposes to develop complete solutions for SCADA systems for centralized photovoltaic power plants. The following are part of the REIVAX scope:
The figure at the side represents an example of a developed SCADA system.
Synoptic screens
They make it possible to operate and monitor the system. They are developed according to the project’s specifications and input data passed on by the client. They provide the most important variables of the process in a fast manner, and the necessary data granularity for the equipment diagnosis.
Alarms
Enables the creation of alarms according to the quantity and model of the equipment. The creation of alarms with different priority levels can be defined according to the policy adopted by the client. Filters by severity, date and time, location, and equipment can be created in order to facilitate the diagnosis of occurrences.
History
Stores the values of system variables and alarms in a database. It allows this information to be consulted at a future time for diagnosis or reporting. By storing its information in a market standard database, it can act as a source of information for other systems that use the same database as a source.
Reports
Allows you to generate managerial and maintenance reports according to the access permissions of the user who’s logged in. Managerial reports seek to aggregate information related to strategic decisions and billing, and maintenance reports aggregate information about alarms and events, system unavailability, and other activities related to the day-to-day of the maintenance team.
Charts
They make it possible to track variable values over time, as well as verify correlations (positive, negative or zero) between two or more variables. The functionality of plotting charts of historical variables (saved in the database) can be used to facilitate the diagnosis of past occurrences.
