Technical Account Manager

Reivax North America provides products and services for the Renewable Energy segment mostly but not limited to hydro electric stations. Reivax is seeking a full-time and immediate Technical Account Manager. This position is located in downtown Montreal (QC) or possibly Remote with direct report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Direct sales (Business to Business) of Reivax products (www.reivax.com) in the power generation segment. 
  • Ability to engage strangers and to influence their decisions effectively. 
  • Understand the key business drivers of customers in power generation. 
  • Prepare technical and commercial bids in response to customer technical specifications. 
  • Work well in a team environment to effectively accomplish the goals. 
  • Develop technical presentations that demonstrate solutions for customers. 
  • Manage new and existing customers towards long term relationships. 
  • Understand contracts (Terms and Conditions) and mitigate the risk on projects. 
  • Travel within Canada and the USA approximately 50% of the time. 
  • Attend tradeshows in North America and develop new relationships towards future business. 

Minimum Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical preferred) or a technology degree from a recognized institution. 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in direct sales of switchgear and controls equipment in the power generation segment. 
  • Excellent computer skills especially with MS Office.

  • Strong technical abilities. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills: able to multi-task. 
  • Strong relationship building skills. 
  • Experience working in small teams. 
  • Ability to work to demanding deadlines. 
  • A self driven go getter that is eager to succeed. 
  • Hold a valid Canadian or US passport and driver’s license: must be eligible to work in Canada or in the USA. 
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written. 

Preferred but not Necessary Qualifications 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in direct sales of static excitation systems or speed governors in the power generation segment. 
  • Fluent in French and/or in Portuguese.
