GENERAL INFORMATION

The overspeed mechanical switch is a protection device and consists of a centrifugal pendulum and a trigger, which are actuated as a function of the turbine’s speed. Once the device is actuated, it commands the turbine’s inlet closing (wicket gate, injectors, etc,), independently of the electrical command of the governor.

SPECIFICATIONS

ELECTRICAL CONTACT

When actuated, it provides only the electrical signal for automation.

HYDRAULIC TYPE

When actuated, it provides both hydraulic emergency turbine’s closing as well as electrical signal for automation.
