Reivax will be supplying eight (8) RTX Power static excitation systems and ten (10) excitation transformers.\n\nOntario Power Generation\u2019s (OPG) Pine Portage and Cameron Falls plants are situated along the Nipigon River outside of Thunder Bay. The combined generation capability of these two plants is 237 MVA with Pine Portage supplying 145 MVA and Cameron Falls supplying 92 MVA.\n\nAll eight (8) static excitation systems, four (4) at each site, are equipped with redundant controls and redundant (N+1) thyristor bridges. In addition, each unit has a very intuitive 15\u201d HMI that provides easy diagnostics and maintenance.\n\nA significant benefit of the RTX Power system is the mechanical flexibility. For both sites, space was an issue and Reivax was able to meet the criteria without sacrificing quality or functionality.
