REIVAX TO REPLACE WOODWARD GATE SHAFT GOVERNORS<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nMontreal (April 5th, 2023) – A leading power producer in the Pacific Northwest has awarded a contract to retrofit three (3) Woodward gate shaft governors<\/a>.\r\n\r\nThe existing systems utilizes Woodward flyball governor controls. \u00a0There is also a mechanical linkage to a pressure relief valve (PRV) for regulating the penstock pressure during an emergency shutdown.\r\n\r\nUnder the contract, the existing Woodward flyball governors will be replaced with new REIVAX RVX Energy<\/a> digital governor control panels, each with a 15″ HMI screen.\r\n\r\nREIVAX is also providing Electro-Hydraulic-Interfaces (EHIs) with manifolds, which will be bolted in place in lieu of the fly-ball regulator assembly. The existing distribution valve for the wicket gate will remain. \u00a0New position sensors will be added for the wicket gate distribution valve and servo motor.\r\n\r\nAs part of the retrofit, the mechanical linkage between the wicket gate and PRV will be removed and replaced with a digital control loop.\r\n\r\nREIVAX is also providing Electro-Hydraulic-Interfaces (EHIs) with manifolds for the PRVs.
