{"id":21654,"date":"2023-07-01T07:30:28","date_gmt":"2023-07-01T11:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.reivax.com\/us\/?p=21654"},"modified":"2025-09-24T18:45:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T22:45:15","slug":"usace-awards-reivax-a-large-turn-key-excitation-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reivax.com\/us\/usace-awards-reivax-a-large-turn-key-excitation-project\/","title":{"rendered":"USACE awards REIVAX a large turn-key excitation project"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\r\n<h3><strong>REIVAX AWARDED LARGE TURN-KEY EXCITER PROJECT<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nMontreal (July 1st, 2023) &#8211; REIVAX NORTH AMERICA, a leading provider of excitation systems and digital governors, was awarded a turn-key project to replace aging rotating DC exciter systems with new static excitation systems at the Wolf Creek hydro station, 270MW.\r\n\r\nThe scope includes:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Six (6) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reivax.com\/us\/excitation-system\/\">RTX POWER<\/a> static excitation systems (1,600Adc) with redundant controllers<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Six (6) Excitation transformers (PPTs)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Interface engineering, removal, installation, commissioning and training<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Non-segregated DC bus duct to collector ring<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Asbestos and lead abatement of existing equipment<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Collector ring work<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Unit Control Board (UCB) work including a remote HMI panel<\/li>\r\n \t<li>NERC model validation testing (MOD 026, MOD 025, MOD 032)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe fully configurable excitation controllers will form an Ethernet network with the plant DCS as well as REIVAX remote HMI panel and each of the local HMI panels.
