REIVAX WINS AWARD FOR 16 x EXCITATION SYSTEMS<\/strong><\/h1>\r\nMontreal (November 21st, 2024) – REIVAX NORTH AMERICA, a leading provider of excitation systems and digital governors, was awarded a turn-key project by US Army Corps Of Engineers (USACE) to replace sixteen (16) GE Static Excitation systems at their largest hydro plant, Chief Joseph Dam.\r\n\r\nChief Joseph Dam is located downstream of Grand Coulee, the largest hydro plant in North America. \u00a0Read more about Chief Joseph Dam and other federal hydro plants on the Columbia river system here<\/a><\/span>.\r\n\r\nIn 2012, ABB won a contract to design, manufacture and install eleven (11) static excitation systems at Chief Joseph Dam. \u00a0Twelve (12) years later, USACE issued an RFP to replace the remaining sixteen (16) GE Static Excitation systems.\r\n\r\nWhile there may have been some merits to sole-source the contract to the same company as in 2012, we applaud USACE’s decision to tender the contract on the basis of technical competence, experience in similar work and how well companies had performed on other excitation replacement projects.\r\n\r\nREIVAX solution included sixteen (16) RTX Power<\/a><\/span> 1,600Adc excitation systems, transformers, bus duct and collector ring work.\r\n\r\nREIVAX works with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC)<\/span><\/a><\/span> on US DoD contracts.\r\n\r\n“Our team works hard to meet the expectations of all our customers. \u00a0Previous government issued CPARS attest to REIVAX excellent execution capabilities and product performance.\r\n\r\nREIVAX has completed many excitation contracts with USACE districts of Omaha, Tulsa, Nashville and Little Rock.
