REIVAX is awarded a GE SILCOmatic excitation system retrofit
Montreal (Dec 17th, 2021) – REIVAX NORTH AMERICA is pleased to have been awarded a contract to replace an aging GE SILCOmatic static excitation system for a 122MVA hydro generator.
REIVAX RTX Power static excitation system includes redundant excitation controllers and redundant 1,600Adc thyristor bridges, each with redundant fan sets. Both thyristor bridges and the AC breaker can be drawn out for ease of inspection and maintenance.
Excitation modelling was performed including MOD-026, PRC-019 and PRC-024.
REIVAX has already delivered three (3) other identical static excitation systems to the same plant in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
