REIVAX NORTH AMERICA Supplying Excitation Systems to US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Dardanelle Hydro Station

REIVAX NORTH AMERICA, a leading provider of excitation systems and speed governors, has been selected to furnish four (4) static excitation systems, model RTX Power, to the USACE Dardanelle station through its partner, All Energy Solutions, a company that meets the small business set aside requirements of this contract.

A specific challenge of this Dardanelle station is the high ambient temperatures of 55˚C. Reivax North America provided a solution by furnishing oversized 1,600ADC twin bridges each with redundant fans as well as an air conditioning unit for the redundant controls in the control cabinet. This solution will keep the system running cool and provide increased reliability as well as an extended lifecycle.

This Dardanelle station continues Reivax North America’s proud tradition as a supplier of static excitation systems for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) having already successfully completed projects at their Bull Shoals, Eufala, Barkley, Oahe and Gavins Point hydro-electric stations.
