REIVAX NORTH AMERICA AWARDED LARGE USACE EXCITATION SYSTEM SATOC
Montreal (March 29, 2021) – REIVAX NORTH AMERICA, a leading provider of excitation systems and speed governors, has been awarded the Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) by US Army Corps of Engineers Nashville district for excitation systems.
The SATOC is valid for four (4) years and can be extended up to a total of ten (10) years and for a total amount not to exceed 30MUSD.
The first release order under the SATOC, Cordell Hull hydro station, includes three (3) 46MVA hydro units with the following scope:
- • Excitation systems and excitation transformers
- • Control room instrumentation and a remote HMI screen
- • Removal and installation
- • Non-segregated bus duct
- • Collector ring inspection, refurbishment and new brushes and holders
- • Asbestos abatement work
- • Commissioning, training and NERC model validation testing (MOD-026)
Each RTX Power excitation system includes redundant controllers and withdrawable redundant thyristor bridges.
