REIVAX NORTH AMERICA AWARDED LARGE USACE EXCITATION SYSTEM SATOC
Montreal (July 2nd, 2022) – REIVAX NORTH AMERICA, a leading provider of excitation systems and digital governors, was awarded the 2nd release order under the SATOC with the Nashville district. REIVAX completed the initial SATCOC pilot project, Cordell Hull (3 units), to the client’s full satisfaction earlier in the year.
The 2nd task order is for exciter replacements on four (4) generating units at the Old Hickory Dam hydro station with the following scope:
- • Excitation systems and excitation transformers
- • Control room instrumentation and a remote HMI screen
- • Removal and installation
- • Non-segregated bus duct
- • Collector ring inspection, refurbishment and new brushes and holders
- • Asbestos abatement work
- • Commissioning, training and NERC model validation testing (MOD-026)
Each RTX Power excitation system includes redundant controllers and withdrawable redundant thyristor bridges.

REIVAX is honoured to once again work with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Once installed, there will be forty (40) REIVAX excitation systems installed with USACE in the MRO and SERC regions.
